Dream

by Lydie   Jun 12, 2005

The shadow approaches,
The train glides by,
The only thing heard,
Is her pierceful cry,

People jump with fright,
People start to run,
People start scream,
From the sound of the gun,

The big bang,
The ringing in my ears,
The pain I see,
And I feel the tears,

People see the blood,
People in the crowd,
People move away,
As it becomes too loud,

The sound becoming worse,
The pain so much more,
The suffering awful,
As she hits the floor,

People become calm,
People don't scream.
People are fine,
As I wake up from this dream.

I enjoyed the vivid illusion you created with this poem. Your animated descriptions provided great imagery and drama. Very well done.

Now, here is a truly unusual set of coincidental circumstances. The subject of your poem is a train and an illusionary outlaw. I also composed a poem whose subject is a train and and illusionary outlaws. And the two poems are coming from two writers who share the same name. How extraordinary!
