Hope Was Up

He tells says he loves you
And you believe its true
Because he would never lie
And never make you cry
So you get caught up
With his smooth lines and stuff
And you think wow this is real
All the sudden love is what you feel
You tell him your falling pretty fast
And your putting the differences in the past
He knows he has you where he wants
So he throws in one of them boyfriend stunts
He knows how you feel and he says prove it to me
Your confused is there something missing you don't see
He tells you in your ear what he means
Saying everyone does it all the teens
He promised he wouldn't let you get hurt
And never treat you like dirt
Because you are the one he is in love with
He says your the only one I get
Then right there and then no doubt fills your mind
The things he told you play over and rewind
You take it seriously and begin the teenage things
Its ok because when he is around your heart sings
You thought it would bring him closer to you
So you did what he told you to do
About two weeks later you guys aren't talking
Because after he got what we wanted he started walking
Last you heard he was dating some chick
Probably feeding her the same lines it makes you sick
Your hope was high and you were in love
Now your heart broken beyond and above
You start to wonder were the feelings even there
Did he love you did he even care?
Everything ends up with a heart break
Because you rush things but love takes awhile to make
Your tired of crying and feeling sorry for yourself
But the feelings you had for him you never felt
Now your heart is hurt and has an ache
All because you made a love mistake
At least I learned something from all this
Don't get your hopes up because your aiming for a miss
