Once a Dream

by Heather Atchley   Oct 17, 2003

Foundations were built
Upon the dreams of men.
Their miracles created
From the hopes within.
Freedom was obtained
By those who were not
Afraid to stand for the country
For which they fought.
A country was united
By those who died,
Who had the courage
To stand side by side.
A world was created
By the Father's hands,
To bring to life
A dream he had planned.
Every hope and dream
Began as small as a stone.
But it takes the stone
To make the mountain.
