Each unfolding day, a mystery
sun shining bright, birds chirping
just like any other day, life is good
but this is not just any other day

all of a sudden, a flash across the road
swerving, screeching, it's not enough
A fierce explosion, what was that?
nothing but flipping and spinning

An abrupt halt, what just happened?
loss of consciousness, world gone black
thankfully help has come
it's worse than everybody thought

broken bones and dislocation
the healing will be slow
so lucky to be a alive
could have been worse

life can change in an instant
one minute to the next, unpredictable
consider each day a gift
for life is full of surprises
