The seconds turn to minutes

I hold back the tears and mumble hi
Silence at the other end
I wonder if you still want to be my friend
Your tone is cold when you ask me,
“What do you want!�
I tell you that i\'m sorry
I never meant it like that
I beg you for forgiveness
My voice begins to crack
Tears start to spill
I hear the phone hang up
How am I going to live without you
I might as well give up
A soft knock on the door
You let yourself in
Call out my name
I rise from the floor
Tears are still falling, now more then ever
I though I had lost you
Control was ebbing

This is about a time when I nearly lost someone close to me. A lot of tears where spilt when we nearly lost each other but we realised forever was going to last a bit longer.
I know some of it doesn't rhyme but it is from the heart!
