Sitting on the sandy shore
Listening as the waves crash
Against the firm sand.
Stars dance brightly against the darkened sky,
Lightning strikes in the distance and a cool
Breeze blows through our hair.
Your arms wrapped tightly around me, holding me close
You gently kiss my neck
And whisper sweetness in my ear.
The days keep growing shorter, time keeps ticking by.
Wishing so badly for it all to stop,
Wanting to spend forever and a day
Right here in this spot.
Knowing you have to leave and saying good-by
