I Hope Forever Isn't Long

I know it's long but please read.

You said we'd be friends forever
I guess forever isn't that long.
You said you'd always be there for me
when my life became a sad, sad song.

When we were little we use to fight over stupid things
and I'd always say I was wrong even when I was right.
You were always stubborn, but always shy
I stud up for you and always fought your fight.

When we were 10 we took a break
no longer best friends but you were still in my heart
We would talk off and on but never for long
our friendship was starting to fall apart.

Before 8th grade year I moved away
I didn't think you would care so I didn't bother to stay.
I called you 3 months later and said "I missed you"
you said you missed me too we talked all night and in to the next day.

Best friends once more we were stronger then ever
you'd call me and we'd talk all night about your fears.
We'd talk about the boy who broke your heart
and brought on all the tears.

Three years later where are you now?
where are the phone calls when I need to talk
It was always about you now it's reversed
where are you now in my long walk.

So much has happened and you don't even care
you never listen to a word I've got to say.
Is this what are friendship means?
you only want it when it's about you, it's not suppose to be that way.

My life got so hard I had no one to talk to
you were not there for me the love is gone and replaced with hate.
I thought you were the perfect friend but now only illusion
you were suppose to be my friendship soul mate.

Now my life is a sad, sad song
I'm saying goodbye and it's forever.
I hope you don't think forever isn't long
because my forevers never end, not ever.

This is to Athena I wrote this because I needed her this year and she wasn't there. I lost 3 friends, my niece Rose, my aunt Sandy, and my grandpa Mike. I'm 17 I've known her for 13 years and it's really hard to say goodbye to her. Please tell me what you think I haven't decided whether or not to give this to her. so please help me.
