Ironic

He never had the courage to tell
How he felt about her

She was overcome by shyness
When she wanted to confess to him

He had that certain gleam in his eyes
When he’d look at her

She has a unique and radiant smile
That she only shows him

He would burst into pieces
Seeing guys surrounding her

She would keep glancing his way
Trying to get a reaction from him

He pretended to ignore
But at the corner of his eye, he never laid eyes off her

She was crushed seeing his coldness
Thinking she never meant anything to him

He talked and flirted with other girls
To hide his feelings for her

She felt deep stabs in her chest
As she observed him

He acted he was being happy around them
But he wanted to be with her

She held her feelings back
Forcing herself to be happy for him

One day when she receives a letter
She arranges a meeting with him

It was late afternoon in the beach
And he was waiting for her

He throws a stone into the water
Then he hears someone, it was her

She was running so fast
That she landed on him

He helped her to stand
And looked at her

She was in tears
As she started explaining to him

He completely froze in the sand
And listened to everything coming out of her

She spoke as fast as she could
And kisses him

She runs away from him
And he watches the growing distance between him and her

They were meant for each other
Everyone knew it
Except them.
