Grandfather

by ~*Lizette*~   Jun 13, 2005

We never had the chance to meet
I only saw you while you were asleep
You lay covered with a dark blue sheet
Doctor said your were in way to deep

A coma, he said was the name
but to me it was a forever lasting nap
I wish you would have woken, and said it was all a game
but i watched as mommy cried, the tears falling to her lap

They put you in a shinny casket
people filled the room to see
flowers filled a special basket
and we all prayed your soul was set free

dedicated to my grandfather, who i never met because he lived so far away
