I can't give you what you want right now,
Were the last words that you spoke,
I just can't understand it,
Is this some kind of joke?

All the things we said and did,
I didn't see the end,
and now you keep on saying,
you can only be my friend?

I knew you'd have to go away,
I told you I would wait,
I love you more than anything,
We met-I'm sure it was fate

I know it will be difficult,
distance is a strain,
but you don't seem to want to try,
and this causes me pain,

Maybe you don't love me now,
everything you said a lie?
I'm just so confused and hurting,
I do nothing but cry

I need you to realise something,
before you go away,
can't give you what you want right now,
those words that you did say,

Could not be further from the truth,
because please tell me who?
Can give me what I do want,
When all I want is you.
