Eerie silence What is it I hear? Drip drip drip Goes the little girl's tears Hey there Are you okay? She smiles briefly And she begins to tell her story She can't make it on her own Because she's too young She can't run away There's nowhere to go So she locks herself in Cutting her wrists to make it go away Writing poems to clear her mind As images flash past her Emotional breakdowns occur When friends say goodbye Nightmares keep her awake Past memories builds up fear The only person that understood left She wanted out so bad She couldn't stand it At only the age of thirteen The little girl was crying out for help Before worse came to worse She confided in me Telling me to tell her parents This little girl is getting help The one inside of me Trying to forget the hurtful past Trying to move on Goodbye little girl That got me out before I got worse I'm getting better now So now when you ask "Hey there, are you okay?" I can finally say "Yeah I'm just crying tears of happiness"
