Like Me

by Lithium   Jun 15, 2005

Currently broken but still finding love,
Shattered into pieces but emotionally in bloom,
Trying to find happiness beyond the above,
Coming home and walking into the dark room,

Twisting side to side deeper into self mutilation,
Looking up seeing a face full of disappointment,
What have you become a body full of depression,
You run, lock the door be hind beginning the torment,

You thought life was bad before,
How can you say this is not worse,
Each night my skin is being torn,
These years I wish to reverse,

1 2 3 numbers meaning nothing,
4 5 6 maybe I should wait,
7 8 9 this is slowly becoming something,
10 suddenly it’s to late,

If I could take it all back I wouldn't think twice,
I’d trade everything but my love to smile,
I need a miracle to rescue me from the dreaded vice,
A magical person who I know I’ll see in a while,

This person I will see tomorrow takes the pain away,
Turns it into happiness instead of leaving it dismay,
I will never leave you the way you decided to leave me,
I never want to leave you heart broken like me.
