Memories

Don’t burn your memories
the photographs
and the love letters
hold on to them
for just a little longer
You can't overlook
what you don't want to forget
what's engraved for life
that's happened in the past
These memories won't fade
even If you put them away
to the back of your mind
where no one will find them
Don’t burn your memories
the photographs
and the love letters
hold on to them
for just a little longer
There’s happiness in there
I can see the smile coming back
your fears of the past aren't all bad
so don't be afraid to look back
Don’t burn your memories
the photographs
and the love letters
hold on to them
for just a little longer
You can't change what happened
can't run away for ever
so don't destroy them altogether
when you know you still want to remember
don't burn your memories
the photographs
and the love letters
hold on to them
for just a little longer
don't burn your memories
the photographs
and the love letters
hold on to them
for just a little longer
so you can smile once again
