Rainy tuesday

by Areyoucrazy   Jun 16, 2005

The sun has been hidden as the clouds roll in
The sky no longer is blue
The light dims the image as she looks below
Her reflection in the water changes hue
She stares at the image of a confused and lost soul
That was once filled with fervor and life
Standing and staring at the image until it fades
As the day passes into night
Standing with a brush in her hand
The colors arranged in her own style
The rain comes and washes the life away
Destroyed after all the while

But no one ever told her that the clouds would be
Another burden from the raging seas
That this life would all be washed away
On this silent and rainy Tuesday

Her reflection in the water is scattered and torn
A million pieces all thrown about
She clasps the water to catch the image of herself
It is something she cannot live without
For once the picture is gone from her sight
As the tides carry it out to sea
She can no longer see the reflection of her love
A parting that was never meant to be

But no one ever told her that the clouds would be
Another burden from the raging seas
That this life would all be washed away
On this silent and rainy Tuesday

I love poems that tell stories even though I can't really write them. Good job. 5/5 kilman = David B.
