You stood by me in times of sadness,
you picked me up off the ground.
No matter how many tears I cried,
you always stuck around.

There was many times I couldn't find my way,
My light would slowly fade.
But you were there to let me know everything would be OK.

You always made me feel,
there was more to life then this.
And if I worked hard enough,
I would find true happiness.

If I stood up for what I believed in,
even if it was wrong.
You were always there,
encouraging me to be strong.

Now the light is fading from your life,
and its my turn to be strong for you.
And I promise with everything in me,
I will always be there for you.

We maybe miles apart,
but if you need me,
just look to your heart,
because thats were I will be letting you know you will succeed.

Life holds harsh reality,
but by you I will stand.
To pick you up when life throws you down.

So stand up for what you believe in,
fight for everything thats right.
No matter what the consequences are,
we will take them together.

You will never be alone,
I will be your guiding light.
So whenever you stray upon your journey,
I will set you back right.

Life is tough,
but your heart is strong.
You can make it if you try,
in me you can confide.

Miles apart,
but forever in your heart,
There I'll be.
