Forgotten One

Tears flood the eyes
As she lets him go.
She begs him to stay,
But he said "No".

With every step,
Her world crumbled.
He never looked back,
Not one step fumbled.

She fell to the ground,
And there she wept.
Those promises of love
Were never kept.

He held her so high,
Then turned away.
She wishes to take back
Everyday.

He got the best of her
And why?
Because he told her,
Lie after lie.

Tears flood the eyes

He walked away
To another girl.
The forgotten one's world
Began to whirl.

She could do nothing
To change his mind.
He cheated on her,
Time after time.

She never knew of
his love for another.
She thought, she wished,
They'd love each other.

She tried to make it work,
With all her might.
But he never helped,
He just have her spite.

But he left, drove away,

She watched them disappear,
Into different lands.

Hand in hand.

It tore her open,

Sad in the dark.

Oh so much.
And even not together,
She wishes him luck.
