The Devil Calls

by †JustAri†   Jun 16, 2005

I have no pride
There's no shame to hide
I'm sitting beside myself
In this perfect hell

Where everything is dying
And my profession is lying
Where I thought I could be somebody
This place is no home to me

There is no smile
Because it's been awhile
Since I've been in the mood
To make a good move

How I got here
Was by driving on this fear
There's nothing to replace
There was nothing there in the first place

The angels call my name
Only because they're ashamed
God can't let me in
And now I'm lost and abandoned

It seems Satan is my only choice
Though he'll take away my voice
Into the fire, I am falling
While I scream, the Devil's calling...

*I know it's not very dark, but I didn't think it belonged in any other category...um...i wrote this April 25, 2005. Peace Peoples!*

    "I'm sitting beside myself
    In this perfect hell"

    - I love it. Those two lines are amazing. The oxymoron of your life being a "perfect hell" is quite tragically written.
Remember i'm always here for you girl. [said that a million times i no :P <3]

    Love yah sweet,

Oh I love it! I know what you mean with the line: "God can't let me in"
Even though it is simple, sometimes it does seem like i've skrewed up to much for heaven. Well I really liked the poem, keep it up.
