Chocolate
Chocolate
Chocolate
There should be an ode to you my wonderful Chocolate
Oh how I simply love having you in my pocket
Right on hand when I need you most
Over the years we’ve become quite close
You’re my comfort when the world simply reeks
My crutch during that horrid time of the week
You’re so kind when you like
But sometimes you don't treat me right.
You taunt me when I say I will have you no more
You call my taste buds from the bin on the floor
It’s not right I tell you thus
I’m going to start looking like a horrible muss
We know you’re tasty
We know you’re grand
But please oh please stop taking control of my hand
I know in my head that I’ve had too much
But I can’t possibly deny my mouth the munch
Chocolate! Oh Chocolate! Why do you hold my heart so?
When you’re in my possession my mind wonders to places I do not know.
The world is sweet or is it simply not there?
Right now I honestly, really don’t care
You’re so wonderful my savory friend
I hope our affair never ends again.
