There's something that I need
Someone I want to be
I realise now
That something is me.
There's someone who can help me
Someone else who can see
A side of me that I don't even know exists
But He'll show me the way
And I'll always know His face.
Arms of love wrapped around me
And I'm holding on so tight
But really there's no need
For He is The Light.
Would I rather spend
The rest of my days
Looking for my God,
Looking for a way?
Or would I rather spend
The rest of my days
Holding his hand
Letting HIM lead the way?
Option number two
Seems like the way to go
But if only I could let go of my pride and show
That I
Have Jesus Christ, who DIED
For you and I, and I want everyone to know
That He has so much love for you.
And that is nothing but true.
So help me, Father, find the something that I need.
Help me be the person
That I want to be.
Oh the stupidness of me...
HE is the something that I need.
HE can help me find
Who I want to be.
Father please protect me,
Against the pain of life
Please take me from the darkness
And set me in your light.
