The unbreakable heart

by Timothy   Jun 17, 2005

There isn't a cure,
No, there sure as hell isn't a remedy;
I haven't found an elixir or a miracle potion,
To stop the stupidity of the heart inside of me.

What good is a logical mind,
When the heart hasn't a lick of rationale;
Needing to be loved,
But quickly forgetting the last heartbreak, with a stranger's smile.

I need to find it,
Or I need to design a creation;
The unbreakable heart,
Developed without any emotional sensations.

    I liked the choice of words you chose!They painted the feeling of a heart breaking very well. A broken heart is a painful thing but it does get better in time! True emotions felt in this poem! Take Care! Brooke~
