I Don't Know Who You Are

by ºCrimsonTearsº   Jun 17, 2005

This loneliness tears up my soul,
And anger fills my broken heart,
You said that you would try and change,
But again you tore us apart.

You stand there feeling Oh so strong,
But to me you're two feet tall,
I can't even look you in the eyes,
You weren't there to catch my fall.

I fell in love with a wonderful man,
Someone that didn't exist,
You chewed me up and spat me out,
Ignored the scars on my wrists.

Even though my heart still bleeds for you,
And your lies leave scars on my soul,
Through your eyes I can see who you are,
Cold and black and un-whole.

Long ago your touch warmed me,
Now it turns my body to ice,
Your smile looks so unknown,
Months before it was my greatest vice.

I've seen the back of you so many times,
It really doesn't phase me now,
So go ahead and walk away again,
This time I won't ask you how?

You tell me I'm the Worlds Greatest
And I deserve better than you,
I shook my head at it before,
But I've finally realized that's true.

I'm worth so much more than you,
And I'm sure I'll fall in love again,
I must be crazy to leave you alone,
But things will never be the same.

I've been pushed around for the last time.
My heart will soon no longer repair,
So I'll just slip my hand out of yours,
Now it's time for your heart to tear.
