Boogieman

by RCM   Jun 17, 2005

Lock your doors and bolt them tight
The Boogieman is out tonight
He preys on girls he preys on guys
Listen, you can hear their shrieks and cries
When the skies are dark and black
The Boogieman slips through the crack
He hides behind the bedroom door
And waits until he hears you snore
Then he tiptoes across the floor
Lifts your blankets with big black paws
To frighten you with an enormous roar
Quickly he then slinks away
To return again another day.
So before you sleep or turn off the light
Check out your room so you don’t get a fright
Check under the bed, behind the door
Look under the rug there on the floor
When you’re sure he’s not around
Quickly jump into bed to sleep safe and sound
Tuck in your Teddy hide that frown
For maybe tonight the Boogieman will come around!
