This is a story

This is a story, about a girl
who felt like she meant nothing in this world
She was very weary
her sobs unheard
she was in so much pain
and never said a word
She felt as if she had done something wrong
She truly believed that it was her fault
As her parents got worse, she longed for divorce
so that the hurt would be over, but they didn't of course
She puts on a brave face, with a beautiful smile
you would never suspect she was going through trials
had I known, about all of these things
had I been able to actually see
past the fake happiness and all of the lies
then I would've been there sooner, to dry her eyes
and to console and tell her "it's all right"
as her parents fight all night
"it's out of your hands you're not to blame"
"I feel like they don't really love me" she'd say
"Well, I'm sorry I couldn't protect you from them
you know that I love you
You're my best friend,
but Ill always be here, when you need me, I swear
I know it doesn't seem like it, but I really do care
if I could I would fix it, I wish it would change
but let's hope that God can, please don't lose you're faith.
It'll be over soon, just a little while longer
so don't cry my friend,
when it's over you will be stronger"

This story is true, and is inspired my best friend(it isn't in full detail, unless you guys wanna know the story behind it). I love her so much, and I hope that things get better.
