Me and my sister

by virginia micklow   Jun 18, 2005

We were ripped apart
in a war that wasn't our fault
no longer a fear
a sigh, a tear

we together walk hand in hand
down that paved street of gold
and there we face Jesus who opens his arms and welcomes us home

were finally together now
but as happy as that sounds
we feel the regret of leaving our family and friends
BUT THEY LEFT US FIRST
in their hearts and in their minds

we walked through those pearly silver and white gates to our home in heaven where we belong
we listen to the angels singing a beautiful song
blinded by the light
of this spectacular sight

then at that moment we turn to one another and say
'sis were finally home
still alright
and here to stay'
