Never Forgotten

by Leah   Jun 19, 2005

At first I didn't know you,
so I didn't know what should be mine,
I grew to know you a little more,
at every passing time.

My best friend tried to stop it,
tried to stop all of this trust,
but she couldn't keep me from feeling,
all of your magical lust.

And of course a girl so refined,
would fall for the dare devil man,
she couldn't rid herself of thoughts,
and so her fixation began.

Couldn't keep her mind, from wandering to him,
she felt him passing through her,
through each and every limb.

And yet the undeniable truth,
that they should never be,
he was much to old for her,
but he made her feel so free.

Time and time,
and time some more,
didn't stop her dreams,
but when her thoughts,
would drift apart,
she would sought to scream.

She loved him,
every dying piece,
to keep her spirit alive.
Without him,
she would never know,
how she would survive.

And yet he's only a memory,
of what she felt before,
every passing day it grows,
and she feels him,
more and more.

If someone didn't need him,
as much as you might think,
he might be gone,
before you see,
and before you blink.

This lonely girl,
put her thoughts of him,
into what could not be undone.
she placed a tear,
on he,
who would never be,
forgotten.
