Tears are falling
Falling like rain
Down my cheeks
And down my face.
I only wanted to help
I didn’t mean to spill the drink
I wanted to help
But he just saw me spill the drink
Then he came after me with his fist
I tried to dodge it
It dididn't work
He got me
And again it came my way
All this for trying to help
I’m in my wardrobe hiding
I don’t want to get him angry
My nose is bleeding
There’s lots of blood
It’s everywhere,
I go to clean it up
But he’s there
He sees the blood
He is angry doesn’t like the blood
He comes for me…
I try and run
But he has my arm so tight
I can’t go
He turns me around
Looks me in the face
Then throws me to the ground
As I go down a sharp pain
In the back of my head comes
I can’t move!
I can’t see!
I think Mums home
She’s crying
I want to hug her
But I can’t get up
I hear her yelling at him to get out
She’s on the phone
Saying they need to hurry…
It smells funny
I’m somewhere else…
I can wiggle my fingers
I can open one eye
I see Mum,
She’s really sad…
She looks at me and says she’s sorry
Then gives me a hug
But my arm hurts so I grown
Mum tells me I have to stay in hospital
And that my arm and nose are broken
My lip is also swollen and cut
She then tells me he has gone
And he is in a lot of trouble.
Mum clutched my hand and kisses it
Then said “I love youâ€
