Candle's Light

by *Goshikku*   Jun 19, 2005

Runs from your wrist
Into the palm of your hand
It gathers together
Then calms like the land

Overflowing it seeps
Straight through your fingers
Dipping like rain
On the floor it lingers

You tip your hand over
It splashes to the floor
Your knuckles are covered
As you reach for the door

No one is there
It’s silent at home
There’s nothing to fear
But you are alone

You drop the knife
It lands on the ground
You head out side
With out making a sound

*Shh...*

Walking outside
With no shoes at all
You put one knee down
And try not to fall

You watch as the blood
Drips into the snow
From the wound on you hand
That you made so low

The drips form a star
You take out some matches
A small candle you light
From deep in the patches

A few words are said
Then you wait in the night
A minute goes by
You stand, and then leave the light
