Hopelessly Romantic

by Corneleus   Jun 19, 2005

A match, a prefect match
Chosen to fall, chosen to be
Chosen together so both could see
The beauty in life
The grace in our strife
The comfort to hold
Not to fear to be bold

Finding each other, drawing together
Their binding of fates
Would prove to be their longest wait
Through the years both make mistakes along the way
Both holding new scars with everyday
Always knowing, always waiting
Always keeping hope from fading

Until that day the stranger came
So similar, so alike… so nearly the same
A meeting so brief, so sweet
Leaving both so deliciously weak
For the sight, the sound, the smell of the other

And yet….

“No, it couldn’t be
This sort of person was not meant for me…
No…for someone else more deserving
…Though my heart is so longingly yearning…”
Both told themselves denying, defying the truth

Until one day, one glorious day
When fate intervened, in a certain way
And brought the boy, the girl, and each ones heart
From out of the shadows, through the patchwork, the stitching
And out of the dark

Onto a night, one fateful night
Both huddled together in the moons dim light
Embracing each other, emotions now flowing
Not a word said between them, yet both still knowing
In the calm, in the quite
Both falling in love…neither would deny it

Now breaking the silence, the boy utters her name
He pulls away, the girl does the same
Nerves building, anticipation does rise
Longingly they gaze into each others eyes

Now the beautiful girl asks herself
“What may he say, what might he do?”
She waits….and waits….
And in that moment she does hear……

“I love you”

Then it was with those 3 words, their fates were set
A whole new world before them now…

And yet…

There was only but one thing left to do
For them to
Live their beautiful life
Find all grace in their strife
Now, never fearing, to be bold
Finding all comforts in loves hold

Their fates forever intertwined
In a life so longingly dramatic
Hopelessly romantic

This story, this tale, this love now shown to you
Is all in all…so beautifully true…
