I have been longing2belong for so many years,
The pain has all gone now and I have wiped away my tears,
The lusty area I once called my heart,
Is now a broken waste-land that has been torn apart,

I forgot how to feel,
There is no need when you are invisible,
I forgot how to touch,
There is no need when you are insubstantial,

I have been longing2belong as long as I remember,
Fifteen years this November,
For so long I have loved and I’ve hated,
Now my senses have been sedated,

I forgot how to see,
There is no need to when no-one sees you,
I forgot how to speak,
There is no need when no-one hears you,

I have always been longing2belong,
And I always will be,
So don’t get me wrong,
When I say I am longing2belong.
