Goodbye

by FlowerThatDied   Jun 19, 2005

Shut my eyes and whispered in your ear,
All the thoughts that you longed to hear,
I said good-bye before as a tear rolled down my cheek,
I thought of life and how its now so bleak,
I wanted to wish this all away
I wanted to say hello today
But your now your gone and I can't get you back,
And now all I have is blood on my hands,
The pain and guilt of your suicide,
As you died in my arms,
I prayed to God until I cried,
I wished that my hands weren't tied,
I wanted there to be something more I could do,
But all I could do was wait for you,
Hoping that, that wasn't the end,
Hoping an angel God would send,
Opening the curtains so the light could shine in,
I spoke to you like a deadly sin,
Soon it took you over and there was nothing more I could do,
But shut my eyes and whisper in your ear,
All the thoughts that you long to hear,
I said good-bye as a tear rolled down my cheek.
