Simple motions

Night falls
Another night alone
Curtains drawn
Street lights on

Day dawns
Another day isolated
Curtains open
Street lights off

Day after day these motions go on
Day after day I want to break free
I drew back the curtains for the last time as the sun shone
I noticed a person, whom I'd seen before
I never knew where never knew how
I just did, I wanted to know more
The person I knew just walked away,
Left me there with nothing to say,
I didn't know who he was,
But he knew me,
And all I could do was watch to see,
If he came by again,
But he wouldn't do,
And I'd go on following the night,
Because I can't stand the light,
And day after day I wonder,
When I'll begin the live again.
