A friendship not worth fighting for

I can't be strong for you,
when all i do is hurt,
i can't be the one to look after you,
when your treating me like dirt,

i can't be the one who tells you, that were going to be OK,
i can't be the one who tells you,
that'll I'll love you anyway,

I'm not willing to forget the pain,
when you hurt me every day,
my heart can no longer take the strain,
what happened to make us this way,

why do i have to fight so hard,
for a friendship not worth fighting for,
but this friendship can't be saved,
from the future we have in store.
