Single [2] {7/9/04}

He sees her smile towards him,
His heart gets excited.
She runs toward her love, who is just right behind him,
He feels that he needs to cry, but he seems to fight it.
He gets after himself; just wondering,
'How could i be stupid enough to think she could be with me like this?'
So he stays there depressed,
Dreaming of his impossible first kiss.

She walks along,
Hearing the music of the truth today;
It's her favorite song.
Here comes a hot guy in her way,
She hope she doesn't do something wrong,
Give him something to say.
He looks up, gives a huge smile,
She stops and thinks-
'This is the best i've gotten in a while.'
He walks a little faster, then throws a wink.
She doesn't know what to do,
Her face feels a little pink.
Then he yells, "Oh my God! it's really you!"
She hesitates a little, then she realized-
'What was i thinking?'
Then she knew
What was happening;
This couldn't be true.

He's walking up to eat,
Yet he slips and falls,
He's alright when he gets to his feet.
But he noticed that no one cared at all.
He gets inside,
Orders some good juicy meat,
He tries to sit down to wait for his call,
But all the people at the tables all got him beat.
So he stands in such a small corner that it seems like a stall,
He hopes that all this is worth a good treat.
But when he went to get his meal,
It didn't go so sweet.
He first stepped up, then slipped and fell.
No one noticed;
He felt like he was in hell.

She went to a party-she thought she'd be satisfied,
But when she came back, she wanted to die.
During this time, i'm sorry i can't lie,
Was just time wasted by.
She went to the dance floor-
They wouldn't let her through.
She thought back, and then she knew-
'What was i thinking man?!'
All this was too good to be true.
So she goes back to the room,
Crying in her own world of doom.

So you see,
This isn't all about me,
But it shows you how unhappy and miserable people can be.
As for these two,
They felt like they were all alone in life-
Like there was no use.
But they never looked up to the bright side,
They stayed in their own abuse;
They could have been together,
They were meant for each other.
Yet instead, they just called it truce.
