The Rain and the Tree

by Katie McCullick   Jun 19, 2005

We sit on the tree branch,
the rain pouring 'round.
Our souls are one together,
our ears hear one sound.

A love never fading,
on one side of the tree.
On the other side
Is one wanting to be free.

I bring you back to the tree
to rekindle the long lost flame.
The rain and us togethers great.
but you don't feel the same.

Now I sit on the tree branch
The rain is cold on my lonely heart.
I wish you felt the same
so our love we could restart.

In the rain I will always
wait by our tree
until you come back
and we will always be.
