Hope

by Kelly   Jun 20, 2005

Darkness has faded leaving brilliance and light. The clouds have finally passed, a glorious horizon in sight. This storm has left sadness, insecurity and grief. But with this new found light, promising tomorrows are within reach. The storm left me battered, my wounds were exposed. I felt like the doors had been permanently closed. But then, out of nowhere, hope peaked inside. Patiently waiting for the storm to subside. Slowly but surely each lock came undone. Unsteady and weary from all the rain that had come. And as the door opened, a feeling of peace became clear. The feeling that replaced all the hopelessness and fear. It grew in my heart like a beautiful flower. Giving me strength... and wisdom... and power.
