Tribute to Lauryn Hill

by Sabine Taylor   Jun 20, 2005

Inspiration found in what she had
Music was her delight
In happiness and loss
Softly her voice killed the tears welling up
In people’s eyes, oh yeah

The calling, her destiny she followed
With a woman’s never seen power
In her music mapped, intentions and hopes
Performed in her way incredibly confident

And everybody used to listen
When her voice broke never seen dimensions away
Legend in music, looking back
A coloured woman on her way revealing her message
To everyone’s ears, it’s time to swing

This poem is dedicated to the unbelievable Lauryn Hill, best in Soul and Hip Hop, part of the Fugees.

Please, vote and comment. Thanks, yours Sabine.
