Mirage

Unearthly beauty, green and lush
I saw so clearly in the sands...
Like love and passion, trust and lust-
That you were pleading so gallantly.
Run after visions- silly spirit!
They trick the strangers in believing,
They disappear - you can't touch lies!
And trickery...It is unwise
To run after unearthly visions.
They only come to us in dreams
Reality is much more vicious,
And gold is never what it seems.
My quest in the dessert...
How much longer,
Do I seek life where there are lies?
What doesn't kill us makes us stronger...
What hurts us badly makes us wise!

I can relate to this one. The emotion flowed very well in this poem. It's really sentimental. Worth 5/5!!!
