Love Is There

by Simon Hayes   Jun 21, 2005

Plunging depths and chilling cold,
My life so secret, strong and bold.
Fallen sorrow from beneath the wind,
A violent struggle from which I sinned.

Agony, triumph, tribulation,
Suffering distance, anticipation.
Blind and hungry, through despair.
Flying under, going bare.

Casting light to calm the seas,
Casting sun to warm the breeze.
Unto the slow and tepid night,
I throw my sadness and plunge my spite.

Upon a mantel, a shiny stool,
Where slowly love will cast its tool.
Waiting for the time to be,
When love is there for you and me.
