Stormy Weather

The darkest night that I have
Ever seen, the rain that lashes on the
Marble of this cold and lifeless
Picture of a love that might have been.
Eyes of ice, a heart of
Stone, your picture in my mind-
Truth lies, as ever, it is merely heartless reason redefined.

There's something about this poem that you don't see at first glance. It's the first time I've used this structure without making it sound trite!
