Mile By Mile

by Michael Goddard   Oct 21, 2003

The sun shines out through the darkened sky,
as the hidding songbirds start to cry
the moon fades behind the clouds
behind the lightening shade of blue
that the sun rises above and through,
where are the sadened hearts of those,
who moan over lack of clothes
the ones who pass the world by
like its as insignificant as a fly
the wonderous beauty wasted on these,
who aim to travel over seas
to find the beauty that...Oh behold
lies under thier very nose
and the taste of the smell
of all thats around
not thousands of miles the world around.

when you wake no matter where you sleep,
the sun will arise and it will keep
the world as bright as a glowing smile,
when it covers the earth mile by mile,
