Why Do We Complain

We complain about having bills
But we never stop to think
About the people who have nothing
Not even safe water they can drink

We complain about the weather
Because it is a rainy day
But never stop to think about
People beaten cause they're gay

We complain about our food
Cause it's just not how we like our meat
But never do we stop to think about
The family starving on the street

We complain because our job
Doesn't pay to much
But we never think about the children
That some pedophiles touch

We complain because sometimes we feel sick
But not about the person in the hospital bed
With aids or cancer
Knowing they will soon be dead

We complain about our children
That we think did not turn out right
But do we think about the family
That lost their son in a gun fight

We complain about our neighbors
Because they drink or smoke to much bud
But do we think about the people
That lost their neighbors in the recent flood

This is for the people who complain everyday
About the littlest things in life , that just don't go their way
Think about the people who have nothing at all
And tomorrow when you wake up , you won't have a complaint to say
