Suffer Death to Live

by Eden   Jun 21, 2005

Caught in the persuasion of time's strength
Leathery wrinkles on my soul
Drawn into death's heedless trap
Lost to all my eye's sight.
Stars so clear; a crystal sphere
Beholding all time's land
Bending truth to fit the lies
That every soul can birth.
Tilt your head to drink the ethereal universe
The mystery in galaxies beyond...
Where several moon held suspended and full...
...Shine forth out of the lonesome dark.
Everyone's voices seem far away
As you drift further away to the sinking gravity
Then your whispering breaths also fade into nothingness
As you finally close your eyes.
No crying remains
No rain to make the mudslide reign.
Only silence to your stilled drums
To cease the living scenes of life.
To change is to die dutifully to the earth...
...To all humanity has to offer...
...And then you may be no more...

But our legacies will forever linger in mankind's wind.
