Unsolved Homicide

by Randee   Jun 22, 2005

I still remember the last words you said to me,
You never did tell me what the better thing was,
I gave you my best, but that wasn't good enough,
Breaking my heart was the best thing you've ever done.

I'll rip my heart out just for you,
I was always there for you, but you were never there for me,
I'd slit my throat for to finally be happy,
With a pen and paper I write my own demise.

You never gave me a chance,
And now this love is burned out like a candle at its end,
This is the bloody end to an even bloodier plot,
I'll make you see your mistakes with my crimson river.

You said I love you with your fingers crossed,
Then turned you back on me,
But the knife ended up in mine,
We became another unsolved homicide.
