SAYING GOODBYE

by Richard Alan   Jun 22, 2005

"Saying Goodbye"

Say goodbye, say goodbye,

To the one you loved for years,

Remembering their memories,

Shinning through your tears,

No words that I could dream to say,

Will make you feel at peace,

And although I’ll try my hardest to,

Your pain it will not cease,

Nothing could ever take the place,

They hold within your heart,

So always carry that with you,

And you’ll never be apart,

They say that loss is part of life,

And time will heal your pain,

Though you might not believe it now,

There is something you’ll gain,

A lasting sense that in your life,

There is no guarantee,

That everyone you cherish most,

And always wish to see,

Will be there for you everyday,

And be right by your side,

Now you’ll know that in this world,

From loss you just can’t hide,

So every single laugh or smile,

In the future that you’ll share,

Every single thing you do,

It wont matter when or where,

You’ll treat it like the first and last,

That you’ll ever get to see,

And know that we’re on borrowed time,

And how fragile life can be..
