Raelyn

He walks around all the time
Just saying her name to himself
It sounds so sweet coming off his lips
He paces the length of the street
Now dark and filled with dust
His white clothes turned grey with it
Coughing as it enters his lungs
He still whispers her name to himself
The clouds have moved in since sunset
Stars and moonlight are blocked out
The rain begins to fall to the ground
In big drops like the sky were crying
His feet are dragging now
He falls to his knees
Screams out her name, just as a prayer
As the water runs down his face
Showing all the scars his heart has born
Seems like his prayer is answered
His memories are shown in those drops
Each one seems to fall so slow
Letting him see clips of brighter times
His eyes close, and he takes another breath
As he gets to his feet, he whispers
Just to hear her name one more time
His paces lessen and his outline fades
The rains begin to stop as the sun rises
No one remembers him or speaks his name
But for the first time
She hears her name whispered over her shoulder
And a gentle breeze in her hair
But when she turns around, no one is there
And no one else could care...
