My Lonely Lake

by Brenda   Jun 22, 2005

In the middle of the city lies a lake
Not exactly the main attraction
But it is my desired destination
The simple beauty of the water
A splendor like no other
Not to many visit its banks
over the years My lake becomes lonely
no one to fish its waters
or enjoy its currents
not even to feed its ducks
I enjoy my lonely lake
every time I visit I feel honored
to be in the presence of its waters
