I Shall Die If Not

by Noir Fleur   Jun 22, 2005

Speak to me the way
you speak to her
and I might believe
I have a close friend.
That friend would
save me from myself,
and help me through it all
till the very end.

Kiss me the way
you kiss her
and I will have a reason
to live a full life.
Please be the one
to protect me
warding off any
evil and venomous strife.

Touch me the way
you touch her
and I won't believe
I am completely alone.
When you leave
me alone at night,
I can't help it but shiver
straight down to the bone.

Hold me the way
you hold her
and I won't feel
left out in the world.
You can be
the only one to calm me
when my depression
and anger is unfurled.

Love me the way
you love her
and I won't result to
using the deadly knife.
Just one little simple thing
on your simple behalf,
and you can save
my short, pathetic life.

Life is a very
unfair and fickle thing
throwing obstacles
every which way.
I'll be able to get through
it all easily, though
if you listen
and do everything I say.

Do this for me, my lover
for I shall die if not.
Respond to my pleas
for my heart, you have sought.
