You did something amazing today
And it wasn't because you should
it was nothing you did or didn't say
And I didn't believe that you could

For you just being in my life, I'm glad
You really have had a good effect
Coz now even though I do get sad
I can take a deep breath and reflect

I can see you beautiful smiling face
And I can almost imagine I'm there
in that comforting loving place
Where you kiss me and stroke my hair.

I have an addiction, and you didn't even know
It's not obvious even when you see the scars
It's something you've seen, but I'd never show
You wouldn't understand how quiting is hard

Once you've found away to release sh-t
You carry on, you think you have the cure
But now I've got you I don't need it
Coz I don't need my self harm anymore
