The Sufferings of Love

by Kristin   Oct 22, 2003

Your words make me toss and turn,
Wondering if your love I have earned.

The suspense is killing me slowly with every breath I take,
Wanting to drown myself in the nearest lake.

It’s a simple question, do you love me or not,
No response? That’s what I thought.

Alas I have given up for there is no pleasing you,
I hunger for love but the love I urn turns me blue.

In eternal solemn I cry alone in the darkness of my soul,
Losing you was the greatest sacrifice and toll.

Sharpness strikes without a moments warning,
And there ends my wretched morn-ing.
