Your sound proof walls(fading memories)

by AutumnOrange   Jun 23, 2005

This is only me reaching out to you
but its you who pushes me away
This is only me holding on to the memories
but its you who let the memories fade

And every day I strive to see the face behind the wall
but your walls keep growing
and I softly disappear
your walls were built to keep me out

This is only me singing a song
but its you who cut the cord to my mic
This is only me singing about the memories
but its you who ruined the song

And every day I strive to see the face behind the wall
but your walls keep growing
I keep on disappearing
your walls were built to keep me out

I've decided to give up my singing
I'll give up these memories too
I'll lock them in a box, throw away the key
then give the box to you (their all yours)

And every day I strive to see the face behind the wall
but your walls keep growing
I keep on disappearing
your walls were built to keep me out

TAKE AWAY THE MEMORIES
Go ahead and throw them away
They mean nothing to YOU
so they mean nothing to ME

These memories were meant to fade.

And every day I strive to see the face behind the wall
(These memories will die to day.)
but your walls keep growing
I keep on disappearing
(These memories only you can save.)
your walls were built to keep me out

Maybe one day you'll tear down your walls.
